In the frame of the Global Water and Climate Adaptation Centre, RWTH Aachen University and Asian Institute of Technology are organizing a virtual event entitled “Circular economy for climate adaptation and water security – lecture series overview“.

The event will start from 8th February with a series of four lectures on the topic of circularity, discussed with regard to its links to climate adaptation and water security.

Sustainability transitions require the connection of knowledge, people and networks – and best practice examples rarely wait at our doorstep

In contribution to the development of CISUFLO’s “Systemic Transition Support Tool” Dr. J. Jordan invites experts and learners in the field of circularity to join his open online lecture series “Circular economy for climate adaptation and water security”.

Schedule (10:00-11:30 Brussels time / 16:00-17:30 Bangkok time – 45 minutes presentation & 45 minutes Q&A):

  1. Sustainability transitions: facilitating the uptake of sustainable innovation (8th February)
  2. Proofs of sustainability: a never-ending search and discussion (9th February)
  3. Circularity impacts: links to climate adaptation and water security in theory (15th February)
  4. Circularity in practice: maximising positive impacts (16th February)

For the preparation of the lecture series Dr. J. Jordan receives funding from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in the frame of the Aachen-Bangkok-Chennai-Dresden Global Water and Climate Adaptation Centre.
